    Dice for every game

    • d6: board games, Yahtzee-style games, classroom maths.
    • d4, d8, d10, d12, d20: tabletop role-playing games.
    • d100: percentile rolls, 1 to 100.

Every die is rolled separately and shown on its own, with the total underneath.

    Fair rolls

Each die is a whole number drawn with rejection sampling from your browser’s cryptographic random generator, so every face has exactly the same chance. The fairness page shows the same picking code run a million times.

Why two dice give 7 most often

With two six-sided dice there are 36 combinations, and six of them add up to 7, more than any other total. That is why 2 and 12 are rare. If you need every total from 2 to 12 to be equally likely instead, use the number wheel with that range.

    Questions

    How do I roll a d20?

Set Sides to 20 and press Roll. Each face from 1 to 20 has a 5% chance.

Can I roll several dice at once?

Yes, up to 10 dice of the same kind. The total of all dice is shown under them.

    Are online dice random?

These use your browser’s cryptographic random generator, the one used for security, so the rolls cannot be predicted.

Does the roller keep my rolls?

The history list keeps your recent rolls in this browser until you press Reset.
